STUDENT-CENTERED DESIGN

Developed by TFAA and 606byDesign, The Library empowers rural educators through resources and collaboration. This central hub strengthens teachers and administrators to reach "near-miss" Appalachian students—those underrepresented in local careers—by addressing barriers to professional development and resource sharing.

Foster early career and academic exploration. Strengthen K-12 and higher education advising partnerships to co-create personalized college and career pathways for seamless student transitions.

Develop clear and efficient pathways connecting KDE curriculum to relevant college majors and careers, and effectively communicate these pathways to students.

Provide holistic student support encompassing academic assistance, career guidance, addressing non-academic barriers, and promoting mental health and wellness.

Equip students with the knowledge, essential skills, and academic preparedness necessary to achieve their educational and career aspirations.

Identifying areas for growth, implementing strategies to address those areas, and systematically evaluating the effectiveness of those strategies to inform future improvements.
